When Everyone's Asleep

When Everyone's Asleep depicts two large whales jumping out of the reflecting pool at the Boston Christian Science Plaza, as a human figure walks through the pool, trailing with whisps of light. I wanted to achieve a dreaminess, giving the atmosphere a fogginess and having the bright activities in the scene be enveloped in darkness.

This piece is greatly inspired by a video that my friend sent me of a woman walking through the reflecting pool late at night. Her footsteps trail behind her in the water, there is no one in sight and it is so quiet - it all feels quite ethereal. I aimed to take that magic and push it further through my piece.
