Regeneration
The natural processes of the human body never fail to amaze me. Every now and then, I experience introspective moments during which I am in awe of my body’s capabilities, and how my very structure is informed by an infinite history of evolution.
This series explores my interest in the regenerative processes of the human body as well as the resilient nature of the mind. It is informed by the perceived control that my consciousness grants me, allowing me to respond to the events that I experience. I depict the intertwining of voluntary and involuntary self-maintenance, seeking comfort in what I cannot control while embracing the power of what I can.
Creating this body of work was a cathartic experience. It is an intricate display of my fascinations and I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to share them.
