Artful Rampage

This is my wonderfully disproportionate, undeniably endearing creature - not quite dog, not quite reptile - frolicking through rolling grassy hills on a rampage of sorts. I’d like to imagine this creature breathes fire and is responsible for the flames overtaking the horizon, but has no care for the consequences of her actions. Though she’s in a state of frenzy, she has been created with such care and intention, allowing the work to do exactly what I needed - it brought me joy from the first pencil stroke to the last spritz of fixative. I was able to approach the work with the same meticulousness and attention to detail that I so enjoy, without feeling the weight and pressure of having to be true to realism. It is precision without restraint ◡̈​
